In a radio show earlier today, the Belgian public and a special RTBF jury decided that Love kills will be the song Roberto Bellarosa will be performing in the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Malmö, Sweden in May.

The Belgian public was presented with a choice of three songs two in English ( Love kills and Heroes) and one in French (Reste toi). The public and the special jury at a 50/50 split decided that Love kills (Music/Lyrics: Jukka Immonen, Andreas Anastasiou, Iain James) will represent Belgium in Malmö.

Roberto Bellarosa is a 17 year old singer who earlier this year won the Belgian talent show The voice and was signed with Sony Music. His first album, Je crois, was released in October.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
