Lucia Perez the 2011 Spanish Eurovision representative who hails from Galicia has been honoured in her hometown O Inicio, Galicia. She has been awarded the honours and title of Honourable Daughter of O Inicio. The natives of her hometown O Inicio are very proud of Lucia, who will be the first Galician to rerepresent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Lucia Perez has been on a very tight schedule since her election to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest. Rehearsels, promotional tour, preparations for Dusseldorf, the release of her latest album have all been keeping the Spanish artist busy. Lucia Perez will represent Spain at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest with the song Que me quiten lo bailao.

Spain debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961 and has won the contest twice in 1968 and 1969. Will Lucia give Spain its 3rd much awaited Eurovision victory? We will get the answer next May.
