Eurovision winners Loreen (2012) and Sandra Kim (1986) are to perform as special guests during the grand final of the Icelandic national selection, Söngvakeppnin 2016.

2016 marks 30 years since Iceland first took part in the Eurovision Song Contest. Both Loreen and Sandra Kim will perform their winning songs to celebrate this special occasion.

Loreen took the Eurovision crown back in 2012 with her worldwide hit Euphoria, whilst Sandra Kim won for Belgium with the song J’aime la vie at the age of 13 in 1986.

Söngvakeppnin 2016 will begin next month with the semi-finals on the 6 and 13 February, with the Icelandic grand final taking place on the 20 February. Earlier this week, RÚV released the audio of each of the 12 competing entries.
