One by one the pieces of this year's Montenegrin selection process puzzle for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest are falling together. This year, RTGC, will organise one national final for the selection of the singer and then there will be another internal selection round for the song.

The date the Montenegrin public will be choosing their representative in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest has been set as 3rd February. Five singers and one band will compete as it was announced earlier: Knez, Kaja, Stefan Filipović, the band Grim, Andrea Demirović and Jelena Kaanegra. Afterwards RTCG will select the song which will be presented at a later- unspecified yet- date. The rules for the submission of the song have been published by RTGC and they state that the broadcaster will be receiving songs from international composers as well. The rules can be found here. No deadline for submissions is specified in the document.

It is also known now that RTCG had extended invitations to other well and less well Montenegrin artists who declined. Those artists are: Sergej Ćetković, Marija Boović, Bojan Delić, Biljana Mitrović, Milena Vučić, Andrijana Boović and the band Perper.

A very special thank you to Xavier Ventura for the submission of the news and Ivan Horvat for his contribution.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
