Edyta Górniak and Justyna Steczkowska, the first and second Polish representatives in the Eurovision Song Contest, have been both nominated for the prestigious Telekamera Awards in Poland. Both ladies will be seen performing live on New Year's Eve at a concert together with many other popular Polish artists.

After a few years' absence from public life Edyta is back with an interview to montly Sukses where she explains the reasons why she decided to make a comeback with E.K.G., her 2007 platinum album released in October. Throughout the time she was away from the media, Edyta claims she constantly felt the support of her fans but what she missed the most was the closeness with a live audience. In 2007 she could also be seen as a judge in the popular TV show Jak oni śpiewają? (Soapstar Superstar).

Edyta Górniak and Justyna Steczkowska have both been nominated for the prestigious Telekamera Award by the weekly Tele Tydzień (Tele Week). The awards are presented to the most popular TV programs and personalities in ten different categories. The winners are decided by the readers of the magazine and Interia.pl, the listeners of RMF FM and the viewers of TVP2. The results will be announced on 4th February.

Both ladies will participate in a concert in the Old Market in Krakow on New Year's Eve. The show will be broadcast by Polsat.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain. I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
