Best national final
- Melodifestivalen (Sweden)
- Misión Eurovisión (Spain)
- Et si on gagnait? (France)
- Malta Song for Europe
- Dansk Melodi Grand Prix (Denmark)
There can be no doubt about the winner with Swedish Melodifestivalen being way in front getting 54.4% of the votes – it is one of only two awards with an absolute majority. The selection including four semi finals, a second chance round and the grand final won the second year running, which might be not the biggest surprise in the 2007 esctoday.com awards. Spanish Misión Euróvision is in second place, the rather complicated national final – a mixture of a talent search style contest and a song search got 17.3% of the votes. Et si on gagnait?, the French selection, was the only "classic" national final nominated and finished third (10.8%) with Malta Song for Europe and Dansk Melodi Grand Prix close behind scoring 9.8% and 7.9% respectively.

With 34.8%, Sonja Aldén is a very strong runner-up. The following three acts were by far less popular and Hania Stach, Ruta Šciogolevaite and Meri Voskanyan scored only 9.3%, 9.0% and 5.6% respectively.
