40 countries will be taking part in the 60th Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Vienna on 19, 21 and 23 May. The next country to be introduced is France. Singing for France this year is Lisa Angell.

Lisa Angell was born 46 years ago in the capital of France, Paris. When she was 11 she began participating in several radio talent shows and won in four consecutive years. Later on, she began performing in piano-bars around Côte d’Azur and the French Riviera.

A collaboration with Patrick Sébastien resulted in her first album, Les Divines, that was released in 2011, which peaked at number 31 in France and 86 in Belgium. Her second album, Des mots… was released in 2013, and the third one, Frou-Frou, which pays tribute to female performers of the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, was released a year later. In that album, you can find a cover of L’oiseau Et L’enfant, the French 1977.
