Mr. Ioan Duma is the new chief of the <> project. He was elected by Horia Romanescu , a well known TVR director. The national selection will once again use two semi finals and a national final on February 23rd.

Because the vote of the Eurovision 2008 project committee wasn't conclusive, TVR selected Horia Romanescu, TVR director, tochoose a new chief of Eurovision project. After various discussions theposition has beenawarded toMr. Ioan Duma.

He will organise the national selection (both semifinals and the final) and Romania's representation in Belgrade.The other two candidates, mr. Dan Manoliu and Mrs. Liana Sandulescu have both expressed their desire to help the new chief of project.

Romania's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 will take place in the months of January and February. The final is expected to take place on February 23rd.

The band Todomondo represented Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 and finished on the 13th position with 84 points.
