40 countries will be taking part in the 60th Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Vienna on 19, 21 and 23 May. The next country to be introduced is Albania Singing for Albania this year is Elhaida Dani.

Elhaida Dani’s musical journey began in when she started playing the piano at 6, back in 1999. It wasn’t long before she realized that singing was her real passion.
At 16, she won the Albanian version of Star Academy. She started singing at venues around Albania and she competed in many local competitions. Three years on, in 2012, she made her debut appearance in Albania’s selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest, the Festivali i Këngës, where she finished in 14th place.
In 2014, Elhaida Dani relocated to Rome, Italy. She competed in the Voice of Italy, taking first position. Her subsequent debut EP reached 28 in the Italian charts. A few months on, Elhaida was back in the Festivali i Këngës. This time, she won the competition, giving her the right to represent Albania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 this coming May.
