The BBC have not yet released any news regarding the 2008 national selection for the United Kingdom, but news is expected early in 2008. Last year, well known names such as Morrisey and Jarvis Cocker were linked to the event, and JustinHawkinsentered the competitionhowever they havenow ruled themselves out of participating in 2008. After a series of poor results, the BBC may have more difficulties attracting strong names from the British music industry to the event.
