The Andorran broadcaster ATV held a press conference today to officially present Gisela as the Principality's representative in Eurovision 2008. The Barcelona-born singer will sing the song Casanova on the Belgrade Arena stage, a “magic theme”. According to Gisela, the song reflects the “Andorran magic, with its snow and forests”.

Casanova is said to be the song that could bring Andorra to the final next year in Belgrade. It will be sung mostly in English, and a short part will be kept in Catalan. Jordi Cubino, composer of the Andorran entry, stated that this is due to "the success that English language enjoys in Eurovision Song Contest". The Andorran hopeful, Gisela, said that her song is "very rhythmic and magic, like Andorra with its snow and forests". Thus, this small country landlocked between Spain and France "will be reflected" in its Eurovision 2008 entry.

The song, as well as its performance, will be "innovative and surprising", Gisela stated. In addition, the Andorran representative will enjoy an European tour to promote the song across the continent. Jordi Cubino said that the countries that would be visited by Gisela would be "France, Portugal, Spain, of course Andorra, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia and some other Eastern countries".

Ràdio i Televisió d'Andorra will participate in Eurovision for the 5th time next year in Belgrade. After 4 failed attempts to reach the final from 2004 to 2007, the broadcaster decided this time to change their strategy and decided for the co-production with a private company, Món Musical. RTVA stated that this new system has the aim of "reaching the best results, and it has demanded some efforts".
