At 12:00 CET Denmark's national broadcaster began their press conference to announce the 16 participants that will compete to represent the country at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest. The event was due to be broadcast live on the internet, however in traditional Eurovision style, technical difficulties have caused problems.
The 16 acts will once again be divided into two semi finals with the top four voted by the national public qualifying for the final. Two of the losing acts will be given wildcard entries to the final after a vote on DR's radio stations.
Dansk Melodi grand Prix 2008 will be hosted by Camilla Ottesen and Adam Duvå Hall just like last year.443 songs were submitted to Denmark this year.
The 16 acts that will fight for the ticket to the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest are:
