FYR Macedonia will once again use a national final to decide its Eurovision Song Contest entry for 2008. National broadcaster, MKRTV will decide the songs that compete in the final internally in a process that will take approximately one month.

Last year, FYR Macedonia's national final contained 15 songs. Karolina Goceva was the runaway winner with a total of 144 points, 39 ahead of Tamara Todevska in second place. The voting was determined by televoting, with the country divided into regions. It is expected that the same voting system will be used in 2008.

More details about the songs and performers are expected in January once the total number of songs sent to MKRTV have been narrowed down. Details about the hosts and venue will be announced shortly. It is expected that the show will once again take place at the Universal Hall in Skopje.
