Belgian broadcaster Eén has announced that the final of Eurosong 2008, to select Belgium's Eurovision Song Contest entry, will take place on 9th March 2008. 28 acts will participate in the four quarter finals beginning on January 27th. After that, there will be two semi finals and one grand final on Sunday 9th March.

Eurosong 2008 kicks off with the first of four quarter final heats on Sunday 27th January. The other three heats will be held on 3rd, 10th and 17th February. The semifinals are scheduled for 24th February and 2nd March. On Sunday 9th March, the Belgian representative for Belgrade will be chosen during the final of Eurosong 2008, broadcast live on Eén.

Songs for Eurosong 2008 can be submitted until Friday 23rd November. In December, VRT will annnounce more details about Eurosong 2008 and reveal the 28 selected candidates for the Belgian selections for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008.
