Dana Markitan (or Marchitan) was born 5 June 1983 in Amursc, Russia. Besides being a singer, Dana studied journalism. She divides her time between Moldova and Russia, and is musically influenced by dance, jazz, pop and pop-rock music. Dana took part in the Moldovan national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest several times before. Now, in O Melodie Pentru Europa 2015, Dana Markitan will sing Love me, written by Patrik Öhlund and Madelene Hamberg.
