Diana Brescan

Up and down

A talented teenager from Chișinău, who has been singing since the age of nine, Diana is no stranger to Moldova’s Eurovision Song Contest selection.  Her entry Hallelujah finished in 9th place at the country’s O Melodie Pentru Europa Grand Final last year (a competition that was won by Cristina Scarlat’s Wild soul).

In that time Diana has gained in confidence, embarking upon daily singing lessons with Eugen Iurchevici.  Her entry, Up and down, which is composed by Eugen Doibani, sees the emerging young vocalist adopt a new rock style.

Diana is looking forward to her Eurovision Song Contest challenge:

‘I really want this (Eurovision) very much!  It’s an incredible large scale competition, and gives an artist a major career boost’

On the possibility of being selected to represent Moldova in Vienna:

‘I’d be so happy!  I’m pretty sure that I would work hard and do my best on the stage in Austria’

Diana Brescan has also participated in TV talent shows X Factor Romania and Moldova’s Got Talent.

Hello my name is Daniel Doyle. I am 19 years old and I live in Rushden, United Kingdom. My first Eurovision was in 2004 where I was given permission by my parents to stay up late to watch the contest. Since then I have been a hardcore fan. The first Eurovision I went to was in 2010 and I hope to go to more in the near future.
