Tonight the grand final of LTV’s Supernova, the Latvian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, concluded as the country chose their song for Vienna.

The four finalists each performed their songs, with the public voting to decide which song should be honoured with the right to represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015.

Throughout the voting Aminata Savadogo led the way, opening up a sustancial gap between herself and Markus Riva in second place. She kept her lead through to the end of the voting and will therefore represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna with her song Love injected.

Last year, Aarzemneiki won the Latvian national final and represented the country at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen.

Their entry, Cake to bake, brought Latvia their best result in six years, however, they still failed to reach the final after finishing 13th in the semi-final.
