YLE, have just announced the list of the twelve artists that will be participating in this year's Finnish national selection which will decide the successor of Hanna Pakarinen in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest.
The twelve artists are:

- Crumbland (Terra Recordings)
- Vuokko Hovatta (Sony-BMG Music Entertainment Finland)
- Jenna (Bågeberg) (Edel Records Finland)
- Jippu (HMC – Helsinki Music Company)
- Kari Tapio (Edel Records Finland)
- Mikael Konttinen (Universal Music Finland )
- Hanna Marsh (EMI Finland)
- Kristian Meurman (Sony-BMG Music Entertainment Finland)
- Movetron (Universal Music Finland)
- Ninja (Popyhtiö)
- Teräsbetoni (Warner Music Finland)
There will be three semi finals with four songs each to be held in February, on the 8th, 15th and 22nd. Two entries from each one will qualify to the final to be held on 1st March. The Second Chance contest will be held earlier on the same day and it will add two more songs to the final raising the total number of finalists to eight.
The Finnish preselection will be hosted again this year by Jaana Pelkonen, who presented the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki. Jaana will be joined by another Mikko, popular YLEX Radio host dj Mikko "Peltsi" Peltonen.
