On Sunday 25th November, OGAE France will hold its bi-annual meeting in Paris. Fans will have the chance to watch songs from French televised selections of the 60's and the 70's which have never been seen since then. Guest of honour of the afternoon will be Jean-Paul Cara. Jean-Paul already accepted the invitation three years ago. He very happily agreed to return to the convention.

On a Eurovision point of view, the man can be compared to Ralph Siegel. Mr Cara composed 1, 2, 3 for Catherine Ferry in 1976, then won the contest with his composition L'oiseau et l'enfant for Marie Myriam in 1977 and returned to the competition 4 years after with "Humananum" for Jean Gabilou.

Meanwhile, Jean-Paul tried his luck as a performer in 1978 (but only placed 3rd in the national selection) and had his 1980 song by Chantal Billonfinish in second place inthe televised final. He tried to enter a secondtime as asingerin 1983.

Jean-Paul Cara also worked for Luxembourg, together with German team Siegel & Meinunger. He co-wrote Le papa pingouin in 1980 and closely worked on Nicole's French album in 1982.On Cara's personal website, versions of his Eurovision songs can be heard, in many languages and styles!
