Six years after they finished second in Eurosong 2002, partner website, Belgovision.com report that the band Spark are preparing for a second challenge for the Belgian Eurovision Song Contest ticket.
Spark was formed in 2002 and made its first appearance at Eurosong 2002. Former Sha-Na singer Claudia Decaluwé and Gunter Van Campenhout from the band Mama's Jasje joined forces and took second place in the final of Eurosong 2002 with the song Someday. They were beaten by Sergio and his ladies, who went to Tallinn with the song Sister.
Can Spark equal the Eurosong 2002 achievement in 2008 or do even better? "The ambition goes further than Eurosong," Claudia Decaluwé and Gunter Van Campenhout say. "We want to represent Belgium at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest and we have a song that is more than suitable for this!" Spark is currently recording several brand new songs in the studio to be released in 2008.
