5. Molly Sterling – Playing with numbers

This is the youngest performer for this year. She is called Molly Sterling and is an up and coming singer, songwriter and musician.

The song is called Playing with numbers and is co-written with Wexford born, Greg French who has been a member of a synth-pop-rock band The Brilliant Things since 2008. Greg has had previous success with Eurosong, coming a close second to Jedward with his composition Here I Am sung by Andrew Mann.

Greg says: When I first heard Molly perform, I was taken on a journey. I felt chills down my spine and I knew I had something magic on my hands. Her passion for her art and her talent will not go unnoticed, and I will be very proud when she represents Ireland in the Eurovision.

Even though Molly is only 16 years old she has already entered schools talent competitions, which will help in preparation for the Eurosong experience.
