Recently rumours were going around that the Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR did not confirm yet if they will broadcast the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. Now Serge Minkoff, Chief Entertainment at TSR, confirmed Switzerland will keep taking part in the contest.

In 2003, Switzerland will not participate in the contest due to disappointing results in 2002. To ensure that the country can participate again in 2004 the rules of the contest say that the 2003 contest must be broadcasted by the Swiss broadcaster.

If the broadcaster would not broadcast the show, the country cannot participate in the next Eurovision Song Contest. Now that the broadcasting is oficially confirmed it's almost sure that Switzerland will participate again in 2004.
