The 'rumour mill' has been in full flight in the 'Emerald Isle' regarding who will represent Ireland in Serbia for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008.

Esctoday.com has learnt that an announcement is expected sometime this week. Also, one thing that has been confirmed, is that "it won't be 'internal selection' this time", possibly due to Irelands' poor performance at Helsinki last May.

The media in Ireland is speculating whether it may be an open contest, something similar tothe'Eurosong' multi-artist format seen in the 1990's. But RTÉ are remaining silent as all will be revealed soon.
