Next Saturday October 13, Dédé Saint-Prix will play with the prestigious Orchestre National de France in the “Radio France” concert hall, Paris, under the direction of maestro Kurt Masur. Dédé Saint-Prix was the one backing Joëlle Ursull on the percussions in the 1990 Eurovision Song Contest in Zagreb.

54 years old today, Dédé (André) Saint-Prix was born in Martinique and began his musical career very early. As a great percussionist and bamboo flute player, he reached fame among the French show business in the middle of the 80's. He was a member of quite famous Creole band "Malavoi" and also toured the country with the "Grand Méchand Zouk" show, which made zouk music popular among the great public.
