Next Friday, 5 October, RTP will hold the second edition of Festival da Canção Junior to choose an entry for the 2007 Junior Eurovision Songcontest.

The show will be broacasted live from Tivoli Theatre in Lisbon from 22.00 GMT (23.00 CET). The hosts will be Jorge Gabriel and Merche Romero. They willbe accompaniedby a girl and a boy introducing the songs and giving the televote result.

Pedro Madeira, last year's winner, will make a special appearance towards the end of ths show. He will sing "Deixa-me sentir" with new music arrangements and backed on stage by a choir of 30 children. By now all the studio work has been done and rehearsals have already started.

100 songs were submitted and these are the 12 finalists. Most of the songs are ballads.

The winning song will be chosen by televote. Pedro Madeira finished 22nd last year in Bucharest.
