Ilona Galitskaya has won the Ukrainian national final for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and will represent her country in Rotterdam on 8th December. With her entry Ruki v goru (Hands up), she was the clear winner of the televote ahead of the other eleven participants.

Last year, Ukraine competed in the junior competition for the first time. Nazar Slyusarchuk finished equal 8th with his song Khlopchyk rock 'n' roll.
