The Greek national final for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held on 21st October. Yesterday, the 10 songs competing in the selection were chosen internally and have now been revealed. The winner will be chosen by televoting (60 %) and a jury (40 %).
The list of participants:

- Sofia, Kristalia, Menia &Maria – An ego imoun magos (If I were a wizard)
- Theodora Katsikogianni – Panta tha agapo (I willalways love )
- Anna Polimnia Provadou – Ena vlema sou mono (Just one look from you)
- Suzan, Anna, Stefanie, Andromachi &Sofia – Kapou Berdeftika (Confused)
- Christiana & Konstantina – Tromazo (Frightened)
- Athina Spanidou – Ola esy (Everything is you)
- Maria Rigopoulou – Imaste oloi paidia (We areall kids)
- Mikaela Zabetani – Oneira (Dreams)
- Stergios Pertsinides – Efchi (Wish)
The special committee that selected this year's finalists comprised of : Kostas Tournas (president of the committee, singer), George Polychroniou (radio and TV presenter), Panayiotis Timogiannakis (critic), Sarbel (Greece 2007), Antonis Karatzikos (president OGAE Greece and International Coordinator), George Mouchtaridis (Kosmos Radio) and Nikos Voutouras (NRG label).
Ten songs were selected out of the 84 submitted. The names and the photographs of the singers were kept secret until after the 10 finalists were selected so as to ensure the validity of the outcome.
Greece has been taking part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest since the first edition in 2003. The best result came in 2005 when Alexandros & Kalli finished 6th with It's our turn now. Last year, Chloe Bolleti finished 13th with Den pirazei.
