The Latvian broadcaster LTV, organiser of the Eurovision Song Contest 2003, released more details about the programme for November 29, when the hosts will be presented and the draw for the running order will take place.

The draw will take place at noon (Latvian time) in the LTV studio. The small event will be hosted by the two hosts of the Eurovision Song Contest. Although their names are not yet published officially, LTV hints that it is an “open secret”, which sééms to be a confirmation of the rumour that Marija Naumova and Renars Kaupers will host the show. Officials from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) will ensure the draw is carried out fairly.

LTV claims on its new website that the event “will be a specially produced process, which will offer the audience an early look at the atmosphere of the Eurovision Song Contest 2003”. The Dzirnas dance group, under the leadership of Agris Danilevičs, will take care of the show elements. Special artistic surprises are being planned too as we may believe the Latvian broadcaster.

The website DotEurovision thinks “the chances of spontaneity seems to be limited with the whole event running to a script and tight running order”. The script for the event was produced by Uģis Brikmanis, the set will be designed by Aivars Ozoliņ and the director of the November 29 programme will be Armands Zvirbulis, as we learned from DotEurovision.

The broadcast will be transmitted to the national public broadcasters of the participating countries on the same day. Latvian television viewers will be able to see it at 22.15 on December 1, during the weekly programme Eirodziesma. Journalists will be able to attend a press conference straight after the event. An esctoday.com representative will probably be present.
