MTV EMA: Nominate your favourite artists

The next MTV European Music Awards will take place on 1st November at the Olympiahalle in Munich. The voting has started and fans are invited to nominate their own favourite stars in 8 categories.

Last year, Lordi – the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest winners- closed the show and Dima Bilan won one of the Best regional acts award. The voting for the 2007 awards is now open. Some nominations are up for voting (no Eurostars amongst them so far) but fans are invited to nominate their own favourites in 8 categories:

Ultimate urban: Vote or nominate your favourite R n' B or Hip Hop act here

Solo: Vote or nominate you favourite solo artist here

Band: Vote or nominate your favourite band here

Most addictive: Vote or nominate your favourite song of the year here

Album: Vote or nominate your favourite 2007 album here

Inter Act: Vote or nominate the band or artist that has been most interactive with fans and online here

MTV EMA offer four lucky friends the opportunity to "crash" the party in Munich on November 1 through the "You crash" competition. Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
