ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster has revealed the agenda for the 2015 Eurovillage and released more details during a special press conference held at Vienna’s Rathaus (City Hall) earlier today.

ORF has revealed the program of activities and events for the 2015 Eurovillage. An extraordinary program has been scheduled with live performances from the 40 Eurovision acts. The Eurovillage will open its doors on Monday 18 May and will be opened until Saturday 23 May under the motto Hello Vienna, Welcome Europe!

Eurovision theme days such as Conchita Wurst – Queen of Austria, A Tribute To Udo Jürgens and The 60 Years of the Eurovision Song Contest are scheduled to be held in the Eurovillage. A grand stage will be erected in the heart of Rathauplats and a large television screen will also be installed enabling the visitors to watch the 3 Eurovision shows live from the Eurovillage. The Austrian votes will also be announced live from the Eurovillage at Rathausplatz.

A special Fashion show will kick off the Eurovillage on Monday 18 May. The daily program will kick off daily at 12pm. Eurovision fans will also be able to watch former Austrian Eurovision acts such as Duo Mess (Austria) and Thomas Forstner (Austria 1989, 1991) perform in the Eurovillage during the week. Whilst 2 of the finalists of the 2015 Austrian national final Zoe and Celina Ann will also perform on the Eurovillage stage.

A 200 meter red carpet will be installed in the Eurovillage on Sunday 17 of May, on which the 40 competing acts and their respective delegations will make their way to the Opening Ceremony of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest at Vienna’s Rathaus. Accredited media and fans will be able to meet and greet the 40 competing acts on the red carpet from 18:00 CET onwards. Hereafter the accredited journalists and fans are invited to attend the Welcome Party at the Euroclub.

The 2015 Eurovillage will be housed at Vienna’s epic Rathausplatz just next to the Vienna City Hall (Rathaus) and will be open to the public from 18- 23 May. A full agenda of events and shows have been lined up to be held at the Eurovillage.

The Eurovillage will be one of the main Hotspots of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest apart from the Wiener Stadthalle where the live Eurovision shows are scheduled to be held. True to the theme and motto of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Building Bridges , people from all over the world will be united together when they visit the Eurovillage in order to celebrate a festival of music, international understanding and tolerance.

The heart of the Eurovillage will be the grand stage where visitors and spectators will be able to enjoy shows and performances daily from 18- 23 May. An extraordinary program of performances and shows has been prepared including: ESC Theme Nights, live performances of the 40 competing Eurovision acts, children’s shows, the Fashion of Europe (fashion show), etc.

Eurovision fans, accredited journalists, singers, artists, delegations and guests will be be able to enjoy true Eurovision ambiance with live concerts, events, gigs and events at the 2015 Eurovisionvillage Rathausplatz (City Hall Square). Stalls and shops will be erected in the square offering souvenirs, drinks, foods and entertainment for the Eurovision fans and guests.

The Eurovillage will also house a pavillion with various stalls, where the 40 competing countries will be able to showcase their respective culture, music, cuisine and offer a taste of their country to the visitors. Stalls offering traditional Austrian cuisine will be also be present in the Eurovillage.

Rathausplatz is one of the most popular hubs and meeting places in Vienna, and will serve as bridge among nations next May when many people from all over the world will gather in the Austrian capital to witness the biggest European musical party- the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. The Eurovillage will also be the official 2015 Eurovision Fanzone offering a wide range of activities for the Eurovision fans.

The 2015 Eurovisionvillage will be opened from 18-23 May and will be the hotspot and Eurovison nucleus during the 2nd week of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. International guests, Eurovision fans, visitors and Austrian local folk will be able to meet the 2015 Eurovision participants in the Eurovillage and witness the live of performances of the 2015 Eurovision entries for free at the Eurovillage.

The countdown to the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest has kicked off as thousands of Eurovision fans will be landing in the majestic Austrian capital next May, around 1,700 accredited journalists and delegations from around 40 countries are expected to travel to Vienna. Preparations are already in full swing in Austria as ORF, the 2015 Eurovision host broadcaster is working round the clock in order to showcase an extraordinary and entertaining show.

The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 19, 21, and 23 May at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria.
