The Eurovision Song Project continues tonight from Nicosia. Follow the second audition show with us at ESCToday, as Cyprus continue their search for their representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna.
About the show
Broadcast by CyBC, The Eurovision Song Project kicked off in the host city of Nicosia on Sunday 7 December 2014 where nine acts auditioned in front of a Jury comprising of previous Cypriot Eurovision representatives Elena Patroklou (1991), Alex Panayi (1995 and 2000), Despina Olympiou (2013) and actor Tasos Trifonos.
The Jury will again select an as yet undetermined number of acts to proceed to the Eurochallenge stage of the competition, which will commence on Sunday 18 January 2015. The four acts who qualified from last week’s first round of auditions can be found here.

The story so far
Returning to the Eurovision after a one year break, Cyprus debuted at the Contest of 1981, with a total of thirty-one appearances to date. The Mediterranean country’s best results have been fifth place finishes for Anna Vissi (Mono i agapi, 1982), Hara and Andreas Constantinou (Mana mou, 1997) and Lisa Andreas (Stronger every minute, 2004).
