Abraham and Amagoya in London!

Abraham Martinez and Amagoya Benlloch, the Spanish couple that will represent Spain in the forthcoming Eurovision Dance Contest made their first public appearance yesterday in London. They were officially presented to the European press during the Opening EDC press conference. The Spanish couple had the chance to meet the 15 other contenders competing for the grand prix.

Amagoya and Abraham are both happy and excited to compete in Saturday's final. They have received a lot of support and encouragement from the Spaniards living in London. The Spanish representatives are preparing a few surprises for Saturday's final and they do not wish to reveal their choreography. Every couple will be performing 2 dance. Abraham and Amagoya have chosen the song 'Baila Morena' (Zucchero)for their first performance where they will dance to the latin rhythms of the chachacha. For their 2nd peformance they have opted for a pasodoble number 'El Gato Montes'.

TVE, the Spanish national broadcaster is all set to give an extraordinary coverage for the 1st Eurovision Dance Contest. Beatriz Pecker andJoana Subirana will be the Spanish commentators for the show, thus introducing the dancers and guiding the Spanish viewers throughout the show and broadcast. TVE will be airing the show live both via satellite on TVE International and on their terrestrial channel TVE1.

A special show will be aired before the EDC grand final where Spanish viewers will be able to enjoy and savour the flavour of the grand final. There will be live transmissions from London to see how the preparations are going on avant the show. Former participants from the Spanish show Mira Quien Baila will be performing at this special gala show. This gala will be presented by Anne Irgatiburu who also hosts Mira Quien Baila ( The Spanish version of Strictly Come Dancing). Famous celebrities such as Carmen Janeiro, Gemma Mengua, Neus Asensi, Edu Del Prado, Estela Jimenez and Yvonne Reyes have been invited as guests to the show.Jesus Alvarez, a Spanish journalist from the TVE newsdesk and former Mira Quien Baila participant will be in charge of announcing the Spanish televote results from Madrid.
