EDC: Gabrielë and Gintaras to London

The national Lithuanian final was held earlier tonight and Gabrielë Valiukaitë and Gintaras Svistunavièius are the public's favourites to represent the country in the first Eurovision Dance Contest to be held in London on September 1.

Out of the three competing couples the jury favoured Lina Chatkevièiûtë and Donatas Vëþelis and they voted them in first place with 12 points. Gabriele and Gintaras were voted second with 10 points. But the winner was decided by the televoters. The full results of the televote are as follows:

Gabrielë Valiukaitë and Gintaras Svistunavièius 5.675 votes

Lina Chatkevièiûtë and Donatas Vëþelis 2.958 votes

Iveta Paurytëwith Julius Ðeniauskas. 895 votes

Gabriele and Gintaras won the audience over from the very beginningperforming two Latin dances and one free styledance with national elements.Gintaras stated that was very nervous and excited before the final but he expects to be even more excited in London.The Kaunas based couple are currently at 105 of the WDC world professional latin ranking having taken part in numerous international competitions.
