The website EuroNet started the second annual Alternate Lyrics Contest (ALC). Everybody can send in an alternate lyric on his or her favorite Eurovision song.

Last year, Arvid K Bilberg won the contest with his version of “Take me to your heaven”. With the title “Take me to your clinic” he wrote the best parody.

“The purpose of this game is to have fun, and to entertain the voters. Therefore the lyrics you write shall be humorous – although not vulgar please. Write words which could conceivably be sung along to the tune of the original song. The best entries tend to be those ones where you imagine the original singer singing the words you write, so try to think of words which would fit the situation”, webmaster Chris Melville of EuroNet wrote.
