Jann Wild & Rose Avenue, the band from Tampere that caused quite a stir when participating in this year’s Finnish selection, are no more as they have decided to break up. The band took part in this year's Euroviisut, hoping to follow Lordi representing Finland in the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest. Both their original songs, though, had to be replaced because they had been already publicly performed before the deadline set by the EBU and were widely available on YouTube for example.
The band released one album Tokyo Okey (reached number 9 in the official charts) in February 2007 and two singles, Boys out of New York (top-3 hit) and Lover lover lover (top-15 hit) in their short but colourful career. Jann Wilde & Rose Avenues Rock’n roll dreams came 5th in this year’s Euroviisut. Their other song in the semi finals was Cinnamon dreams.
