Earlier this month on the 3 November, the Swiss national broadcaster SRF opened voting in their online portal.

A total of 200 songs were uploaded to the online platform and over the past week, the public has been asked to vote for their favourite entries. Users have up to four votes each and can use them in any way they see fit. Voting closes next Monday on the 17 November at 08:00 CET so there’s still time to vote for your favourite acts. Click here to check out the entries and to submit your votes.

An expert SRF/RTR jury will also have a 50% say in which acts will qualify to the next stage of the selection and after a 50/50 public-jury deliberation, a total of 9 SRF/RTR acts will qualify to the second phase.

Along with the 9 acts selected by SRF/RTR, 9 other acts will also qualify to the second phase of the selection from the other 2 Swiss broadcasters – 6 acts selected by RTS and 3 acts selected by RSI. Earlier this month, RSI revealed the 3 acts their expert jury had selected to qualify to the next stage of the selection – The Vad Vuc, Deborah Bough and Elias feat. Zero In On. Read more about the selected RSI acts here.

The next phase of the selection is set to take place on the 7 December in which a special audition in front of an expert panel of judges will take place. Out of the 18 auditionees, 6 acts will qualify to the grand final – 3 acts from SRF/RTR, 2 acts from RTS and 1 act from RSI. The grand final will then take place on Saturday 31 January 2015 in the city of Kreuzlingen.

Last year, Sebalter was selected to represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Copenhagen, Denmark. With his entry Hunter of stars, Sebalter qualified to the grand final where he ended in 13th place.
