The MaltaSong Board is lumbering up for its participation at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam this December, having published its rules and regulations together with important deadlines on the MaltaSong site.

Malta peaked at a seventh place on its 2003 debut with Sarah Harrison's Like a Star, but since then have suffered a string of poor placings at the contest.

Important deadlines for submission and selection of the Maltese finalists are as follows:

09-10 August 2007 : Closing date for submissions

20/21/22 August 2007 : Eliminatory Phase

25 August 2007 : Live Phase

25 August 2007 : Announcement of finalists

1st week of September 2007 : The finals
