Carola Häggkvist, who won the Eurovision Song Contest for Sweden in 1991 with Fangad åv en stormvind, said to the Swedish newspaper Expressen that she wants to represent Sweden again in 2003. Johnny Logan said to OGAE Malta that he wants to submit a song again for 2003.

Carola wrote three songs for the Swedish Melodifestival 2003. “I would really enjoy to sing at the Eurovision Song Contest again”, she said. One of the songs, a powerful ballad, might have the biggest chance to make it to one of the four pre-selections. The fact that Carola is still very popular in Sweden might bring her to the contest again.

Three-times Eurovision winner (once as writer, twice as performer) Johnny Logan also wants to participate again. To OGAE Malta he told some details about his plans. He wrote a song called The story of my life. Logan, who will not perform the song himself, said: “It's not about me, but the people I have loved in my life… who made my life complete”. Logan named Marc Roberts, who represented Ireland in 1997, as a possible performer of the song.“I played it to him and he fell in love with it. Story of my life suites him. It's really powerful”, he explained.

For Johnny Logan it's not sure for which country he will submit the song, because Ireland will select a candidate with the Euro-star format.
