Finland: Lordi back with The united rocking dead

Lordi, the winners of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006, have returned with a new single just in time for Halloween.

The masked rock band have premiered their latest single, The united rocking dead, on the website BloodyDisgusting and you can listen to it below.

The song comes from their forthcoming album Scare force one, which will be released on Halloween in two days time (October 31).

Lordi won the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with their song Hard rock hallelujah, scoring Finland’s first and only victory in the contest.

Having made their debut at the 1961 Eurovision Song Contest, Finland has competed in 48 editions of the contest.

This year, Finland were represented by the band Softengine. After progressing from the semi-finals with their song Something better, the group went on to record the country’s best placing since their win in 2006, finishing 11th.

YLE, the Finnish national broadcaster, has already confirmed their participation at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna. UMK will once again return as their means of selecting their entry.
