According to an employee of the Turkish broadcaster TRT a big national star will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest. This means that no national final will be organised.

When other members of the mailing list asked if it might be Tarkan, the TRT employee denied. Another option is that Sertab Erener, one of the most popular Turkish female singers, will represent Turkey in Riga next year.

Others said recently that TRT is still interested to organise a national final spread over two nights. Official announcements will follow soon, so it's a matter of time before we know what will happen.
