Georgia, after a very professional debut this year at the Eurovision Song Contest, have announced their participation in the Junior Eurovision as well. The entire national selection process will be under the auspice of Georgia's first lady Sandra Roelofs, wife of President Mikheil Saakashvili.

Georgia showed that they take their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest quite seriously so we can expect an equally professsional approach to the Junior contest as well. The country's first junior participant will be selected through a nationwide three-stage process. The deadline for the applications is July !0. Afterwards, all applications will be discussed in the first stage, in the second one there will be regional castings leading to a final selection of 12 entries that will go to a national final.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
