The Spanish town of Murcia will host a concert in support of the children touched by cancer. Two of the country’s representatives in the Eurovision Song Contest will take part in the event.

The Association of Celebrities and Athletes Against Cancer (AFADECA), in cooperation with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), organizes every year since 2010 the charitable gala All Against Cancer, which gathers artists and sportspeople around a common cause: the fight against cancer. Awards to the Spirit of Achievement are announced and performances by singers and other artists are enjoyed by the attendees.

This year two of the Spanish participants in the Eurovision Song Contest will act in the concert: Ruth Lorenzo and Serafín Zubiri.

In fact, Ruth Lorenzo features in the event’s promotional video by AFADECA, and in which we can her visiting the children in the Pediatric Oncology Warden of the Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca in Murcia.

Busy as she is with the promotion of her first studio album Planeta Azul, Ruth still makes time for this admirable initiative.

The Gala will begin at 20:30 CET on 30 October and it will be held in the Pabellón Príncipe de Asturias in Murcia, Ruth Lorenzo’s hometown.

Serafín Zubiri participated twice for Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest: 1992 and 2000. Ruth Lorenzo entered the competition for the country this year with her song Dancing in the rain.
