After 7 weeks on the Danish album top 40, Johnny Logan is now out of top 5. Late Danish Eurovision Song Contest star Tommy Seebach is now to be found in 4th position with his greatest hits album Hip hurra. As new albums from Paul McCartney and Danish singer Allan Olsen went straight into 1st and 2nd place Johnny Logans present to the Danish fans, The Irish connection, has now been pushed down to 7th place.
The official album with all 42 songs from the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest which was pushed out of top 40 last week after only two weeks in the charts has not been able to get back, but previous Eurovision stars are still selling well in Denmark. The solo album from Jørgen Olsen, one half of the winning duo from 2000, has made a big jump from last week’s 35th place to this week’s #12. This gives a chart with the two previous Eurovision winners, Johnny Logan and Jørgen Olsen, plus Tommy Seebach who represented Denmark three times in the Contest all among the 12 best selling albums in Denmark. Furthermore Stig Rossen, who took part in the Danish national final in 1988 and 2007, is also to be found in there, in 10th position.
This year’s Danish participant, DQ, has gained one position in the previous week and is now in 22nd place. Though the album never reached higher than to being #11 it is still selling well and can now celebrate its 5th week on the album top 40.
Meanwhile the offical Eurovision 2007 DVD is now the 2nd best selling on the Music DVD top 10. It is on the list for the third week in a row.
