TVR has published the names and songs of the Romanian young singers that will try to win the ticket for Rotterdam. Romania's national selection will be held on 24th of June. The winning song will be selected by jury and televoting at a 50-50 split.

Romania hosted the 2006 edition of the contest. Their best result is 4th place by Noni in 2004.
