Conchita Wurst who recently won the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen has declared her sexual proclivities live on French television in a candid yet powerful interview.

Conchita Wurst represented Austria in May at the Eurovision Song Contest. Wurst stormed to victory with the entry Rise like a phoenix creating an international media maelstrom in the wake of the contest.

In a recent candid interview with Alessandra Sublet on national French television Conchita discussed the Eurovision victory and declared “I am a man and I like men”. Wurst has provoked a lot of controversy and debate within the more conservative fractions of Europe however what seems apparent is that Conchita’s star continues to shine bright as we see our fledgling Eurovision winner receive international attention and acclaim the likes not seen since ABBA’s victory in 1974.
