Valentina Monetta, who has represented her home country of San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest for the past three years, will be headlining a special charity concert on Tuesday, 30th September 2014.

The concert, entitled Sensibilità (Sensibility) after the title of Valentina’s album release of April 2014, is in aid of COMITES (Committee of Italians Abroad), which supports people who have fallen on difficult economic and emotional times.

Directed by Fabrizio Raggi and in collaboration with San Marino RTV, the concert, which will take place at the Teatro Titano in San Marino City, is under the patronage of the Secretary of State for Culture and the Italian Embassy.

Valentina will be sharing the stage with Joshua de Cadenéx, with whom she duetted on the song A Kiss, along with many other names from San Marinese entertainment.

Valentina Monetta’s first Eurovision Song Contest appearance was at the Baku contest of 2012, where she finished in fourteenth place in the first semi-final with The Social Network Song (OH OH – Uh – OH OH).  Originally titled Facebook Uh, Oh, Oh, the song accumulated a total of 31 points.  Valentina returned to represent her country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013, taking to the Malmö stage with the Ralph Siegel composition Crisalide (Vola), a fan favourite which narrowly failed to make the Grand Final, finishing in eleventh place of the second semi-final with a total 47 points.

It was famously to be third time lucky for Valentina in 2014, as Maybe qualified for the Grand Final in Copenhagen Eurovision Song Contest, finishing in 24th place in the Grand Final with a total of 14 points.  This is San Marino’s best finish to date in the competition, having debuted in 2008.
