RTÉ has just announced that Nicola Byrne & Mick Donegan will represent Ireland at the Eurovision Dance Contest 2007 to be held in London, United Kingdom on Saturday 1st September 2007.

The 5 contending couples were:

• Susan Ginnety & Ronan McCormack
• Nicola Byrne & Mick Donegan
• Colin Ryan & Paula Goulding
• Damien Noone & Rachel Byrne
• Glenn Simpson & Dearbhla Lennon

They werejudged by an independent panel Jane Gilheaney, director of the Shaylyn Dance Company in Ballinamore, Co Leitrim; David Bolger, artistic director of Coiscéim Dance Theatre, Dublin and representing RTÉ, Julian Vignoles, Assistant Commissioning Editor, Entertainment.

The winners were announced live on Celebrity Jigs 'n' Reels.
