2002 Maltese representative Ira Losco is considering to return the Malta Eurovision after a break of 12 years.

The 33 year old singer, wrote the following on her facebook page:

Dear Friends, I would like to hear your views with regards to Eurovision. In 2002 I was fortunate enough to get a 2nd placing for MALTA with just 12 points away from a win. What are your thoughts if I had to return to Eurovision with a song i wrote? We’re in this musical journey together + I value your feedback. MUCH LOVE , Ira XXX

The status currently has over 8,000 likes and 2,000 comments, plus it’s all over the Maltese media. Many have been hoping for this as she was the first ever Maltese singer to get as close as winning the eurovision. Ira returned to the Malta Eurovision last February where she co-hosted and sang no less than 4 times with 2013 Maltese representative Gianluca Bezzina, who will also compete to represent Malta in 2015 along with his siblings.

In just a week’s time, we will find out if Ira has submitted a song or not as the 20 finalists of MESC 2015 will be revealed on Friday 3rd October on TVM at 20:45 CET during the programme Xarabank.

The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015 will be staged on 21st and 22nd November 2014 at the Marsa Shipbuilding.

Ira Losco reached 2nd place at the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 with 7th Wonder.
