Only a few days after the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest final, where The Ark landed in the third worst position in the country's long Eurovision history, SVT has announced the deadlines for next year's Melodifestivalen.
While disappointment still prevails in the Swedish public for the poor result achieved by The Ark in last Saturday's final, SVT has announced that September 25th 2007 is the final deadline for the submission of the songs for next year's Melodifestivalen. As our partner site Escsweden.com reports it is still early to know whether there will be any major changes in the format of the most popular TV show in Sweden. This year's show attracted over 4 million viewers in Sweden, and many thousands of international fans watching the show online.
Sweden has been participating in the contest since 1958, every year but 1964, 1970 and 1976.
