Speculation about the location of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest has already begun, and the first eyes to look towards Belgrade are looking straight at the Beogradska Arena, with a capacity of up to 20,000 spectators.
The venue certainly seems to meet all modern criteria and is highly developed on a technological level. The architect of the Arena is Vlado Slavica, who designed a complex building contain three object: big hall (arena), smaller hall and parking area. Size of big arena is 48.000 m2 in six floors with capacity of 20.000 visitors.
The arena features 68 luxury areas with 768 seats and VIP saloon, has a pre-built interview area with 38 seats for interveiws, television links and more. The existing press center can host 250 acreditated journalists and would need to be much larger, but the car-park could be used to build a tent press centre similar to the one used in Kyiv in 2005.
The arena plays host to a variety of sport events, music concerts and could well be the home of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest.
